ergocine flyweight rig

We are doing a redesign of the Blade and Top handle
they will be finished at the end of the weekend.
So watch this space.

The ergocine flyweight rig, offers a affordable, highly configurable, aesthetically pleasing, ergonomically designed camera support system.   The flyweight is ambidextrous  you can flip from left-handed and right-handed simply by rotating the blade 180°.The  rigs components are constructed of black cherry or black walnut hardwood with (2) 1/4 – 20 female receivers per mounting point creating a, no slip, high strength mount.

Shown with the 6" top handle.

Flyweight rig components:
the blade, top handle and the 2 sphere grip.

The "blade" is a left right reversible shoulder mount with 4  paired 1/4 20  mounting points, each point allows you to mount the bracket on the horizontal or vertical axes.

The "top handle" comes in a variety of lengths (6 8 &10 inches you choice) depending our your EVF configuration.  If the length is not right when you receive it we will happily swap it out at no cost.

A low cost version of the BWG the "2 sphere grip" offers similar functionality at a fraction of the cost. The main difference being the bracket terminates in a rough surface with no Arri rosette relying on a friction connection.

Check the ergocine flyweight rig page for a limited time introductory package price and a la carte pricing.  Please note that rods, brackets, cameras and battery plates are for illustration only.  If you wish you can get the Cool LCD 15mm rod clamp from us at cost.

Both Small Rig and Wooden Camera make the necessary bracket.

16 x 9 base plate and dove tail for the C300

The 16 x 9 base plate for the C300 works perfectly to balance the Lion - R2.

You can see where I notched out the wood so the base plate would fit.

Grip off-set for larger lenses and the BMCC modification

We have found a simple way to offset the grip giving the Lion a little more breathing room.  This spacer can be added to any grip, it comes in 1/2 and 1 inch length and can be installed be the grip owner.  The 1/2" spacer in black walnut with hardware (longer stainless steal #4 machine screws) goes for $25 and the 1" for $35.

This gives you some more room if you are using a larger lens, or the BMCC modification.  With the Lion R2 there is middle hight setting using this tightens up the setup and has the bottom rods set at a much better hight for a tripod plate adaptor.

ergocine Lion - R2

Available for sale now, same price as the Lion - R1, but I will need a couple of days to up date the sales page.
We have come out with the next generation of the Lion - R the R2.  The side plates are now 1/4" 6061 aluminum from 1/8" this makes the nose much more robust.  The plate also has another set of hole going from 4 possible hight settings to 6, the cap screws holding the rods mount are full size and we have added a lock washer.  I like these brass washers but I will send out black also with each order, your choice.  The pads have been cleaned up with a folded edge to protect you from the scratchy velcro.

ergocine Lion R2 - 46

I have made a all natural stain from the fruit of the black walnut tree and we are using it on the inside of the body to darken it.  This should have happen a long time ago but we are now stamping the Lion with model and serial number.

The cable in the pictures is for the F55 but I did not get a chance to test it their (2) F55 had just left the shop on a two week job.  We see the grip with a stain steel button, hirose 4 pin, and black walnut grip package.
